The XFR 3 shares a lot of similarities with the higher end XFR 2, with the main differences found in the drivetrain and braking as the XFR 2 is predominately equipped with Shimano Altus components instead of a variety of lower end Shimano spec founds on the XFR 3, while the XFR 2 has the superior hydraulic disc brakes instead of mechanical disc brakes. However, the Norco XFR 3 Hybrid Bike still does a bit of everything well, which is what you want from your hybrid bike. You can get up some easy speed and really get going and still handle any bumps or rough surfaces you encounter if you want to head off the pavement.
